Published in association with the exhibition of the same name, the Columbus Museum of Art is proud to present the publication of Twentieth Century Hustlers, available now through the museum store and Ohio University Press.

For twenty years, the American artist Geof Oppenheimer has been analyzing not only the nature of our social relations, but how these relations intersect with the world’s social and economic issues through mediums like sculpture, video, drawing and photography.

The exhibition, occupying an entire gallery in the Museum’s 1931 beaux-arts Ross Wing and commissioned by the museum centers on the physical, technological, and psychological conditions of labor in the post-industrial world.

Designed by at artist and David Giordano this monograph documents the Columbus Museum of Art exhibition and features new scholarship considering Oppenheimer’s work with a broad scope. Contributors include Pizzuti Family Curator of Contemporary Art Tyler Cann, political theorist Anita Chari, and Sociologist Richard Sennett.
